I founded The Dog and I in 2016 as a professional dog groomer with a passion for creating truly effective, natural grooming products. With years of hands on experience working with different coat types, skin conditions, and sensitivities, I began formulating my own soaps, shampoos, balms and colognes, products I knew worked because I understood dogs inside and out.

Over the years, The Dog and I grew into a trusted brand, stocked across the UK and loved by customers who valued high quality and gentle products for their dogs. The feedback has been incredible, and building a brand known for high quality, handmade products has been one of my proudest achievements.

Alongside growing this business, I have another called The Soap Coach where I have spent years teaching others how to make products from scratch and I also trained as a certified business strategist along the way.  These days I help many other soap and skincare business owners build profitable, compliant, and confident brands. On top of that I was also a police officer for nearly 25 years which has supported my understanding of compliance and legislation - if you have ever tried to read the regulations on the government website you will understand how useful this has been!

Despite all this my heart has always remained in the dog product community.

After nearly a decade of formulating, testing and teaching, I have honed in on what I love to do and what I do well - creating exceptional balms and salves and helping other pet businesses bring their product visions to life without the overwhelm.

That’s why The Dog and I has evolved.

Today, I specialise in wholesale and white label and private label dog balms and salves for pet brands who want to expand their range with high quality, compliant, professionally formulated products without having to master formulation, testing, and regulations themselves.

As business owners, we can’t do everything. And we shouldn’t have to.

You might be brilliant at grooming, retail, training, subscription boxes, or building community but adding compliant, effective dog products to your range can feel like a huge mountain to climb.

This is where I come in and it’s where I know I can raise the standard of what’s available in the pet space.
