I wasn’t going to keep doing this!

When I decided to streamline The Dog and I, it was because I was stretched too thin , juggling two businesses, making a full range of products, and trying to keep up with both retail and wholesale. It was honestly too much, and I very nearly closed entirely.

So I narrowed my focus and I moved into white label and wholesale only balms and salves only. That was the plan. And if anyone wanted to purchase my products on a retail basis moving forwards I was intending on sending them to someone who had purchased white label products. Only it hasn't worked out like that.

All but one white label order has been for dog businesses that are using the products as client gifts and the one order for retail is just one product in one size. The best laid plans and all that! 

I have also had enquiries about unlabelled products, and I had a lot of these popping up in my inbox asking,

Tbh I’ve missed that part a bit.
I’ve quietly been making tiny batches for a handful of long term customers who I couldn't say no to, but it’s not viable really. Plus, the business roller coaster being what it is right now, I feel having multiple income streams is a must rather than a nice to have

So, I’ve made two changes.

I’ve added a small retail section back to my site , just my core three products. If you’re not a business and just want something for your own dog (maybe you were gifted one or used it in the past), this is for you.

If you are a business, but don’t need the full white label service ,  you can now buy ready to label tins in batches of 30 via Faire.

My main focus will always be white label and wholesale, but when you get messages like this, it’s really hard to say no.

'I love your skin balm product (dark green tin) and have been using it regularly on my rescue staffie. Unfortunately he is practically bald and your product keeps his skin moisturised and nourished. Other brands just don’t seem to cater for his condition.'

That kind of feedback makes me happy. It reminds me why I started all this in the first place.
